Open Road Guide Sales Flyers

After sending the 3rd edition of the Open Road Guide to the printing press in March of 2025, I was tasked to design/redesign the Open Road Guide sales flyers in preparation for the 4th edition of the magazine guide.

I used Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop to create these flyers.

The Problem

Sales Team Waiting on New Flyers

The growing sales team is about to start their sales session for the 2025-2026 period in anticipation for the 4th edition of the Open Road Guide. They’ve been eager to start selling, but don’t have the flyers needed to do their jobs.

Originally, the Art Director was tasked in creating the flyers, but the President and Sales Team just couldn’t wait much longer. After noticing my quick turnaround time in converting the Open Road Guide to the Alaska & Alaska Highway Business & Travel Guide (AHM), the President and Director of Marketing then passed along the task in creating the sales flyers to me.

Right after I was tasked to create the flyers, the Art Director sent the sales team the flyers that he created. The sales representatives weren’t satisfied with the overall design. They noted how cramped, cluttered and ugly the flyers looked.

The Solution

Cleaner & More Colorful Sales Flyers

After days of many iterations and fetching sales numbers from the Director of Sales, I was able to submit my designs to the Director of Marketing and the President. The President then approved the designs and went straight to Kinko’s to print out some copies for himself and the rest of the sales team.

The Result? The Sales Team Got to Work with the New Flyers in Hand.

After receiving the new flyers from the President, the sales team then went out to Alaska to conduct their sales work. The cleaner design of the flyers also made it easier for business owners and potential advertisers to easily scan and comprehend each of the advertising Discount Packages. This lead to customers being able to quickly make advertising decision, which in turn, allowed for quicker commissions for the sales team.
