The Problem

Rebranding a Copy of the Open Road Guide…in a Week

Our team was notified months ago that the AHM was to be rebranded to the Open Road Guide. However, one of the co-owners wanted to continue the Alaska & Alaska Highway Business & Travel Guide (shortened to the β€œAHM”) as he was really impressed with how the previous two editions looked.

The problem was that we’ve just sent the preflight files of the Open Road Guide to our printing press vendor. The team thought that we were done with all magazine publications, but we clearly celebrated too soon.

With an extremely tight deadline of one week, I had to take the Open Road Guide files and replace any Open Road Guide branding with AHM Branding.

The Solution

The 3rd Edition of the AHM

The Director of Production & Marketing and I collaborated on what elements of the Open Road Guide need adjusting/changing. Following her notes allowed me to make all of the changes in 3 days, while the 4th day was dedicated to making final edits.

The Result? The Magazine was Finalized in 4 Days.

After the Director of Production & Marketing notified the Executives that the AHM was sent to the printing press, we finally were able to wipe our hands clean of any more magazine projects! At the time of this case study, the Executives and our team has yet to receive physical copies of the newest AHM.
